What is Reiki?

Reiki is a precise method for connecting universal life force energy with the body’s innate powers of healing.

It is an ancient, gentle hands on healing method rediscovered by Dr. Mikao Usui.

The words Rei Ki (ray-key) mean universal life force; transcendent spirit, mysterious power, essence.

How does it work?

Reiki fuels and amplifies the body’s homeostatic mechanisms thereby assisting in the restoration of balance on the physical, mental and emotional levels.

Optimal development and fulfillment is supported and Reiki promotes the highest healing good for all living things.

The essential vehicle of Reiki is touch, applied where ever and when ever appropriate.

What makes Reiki unique?

Reiki is simple. Anyone, any age can learn it.

Reiki is of tremendous benefit for self care.

Reiki is not a religion and does not require any specific beliefs or concepts in order for it to be effective.

Reiki enhances all other healing methods.

Reiki practitioners receive attunements/initiations that balance, align, and fine tunes their energy system empowering them to become a conduit for channeling universal life force easily and consistently.

How does one receive Reiki?

The Reiki practitioner’s hands are placed on the person who has chosen to receive Reiki.

The proper amount is drawn through the practitioner’s energy centers and will go where it is needed.

Once the intention is clear to begin a treatment, Reiki will always be activated.

What are Attunements?

Attunements performed by a traditionally trained Reiki Master are the key that enable someone to access universal life energy.

In Reiki 1 there are 4 initiations that raise the students energy field to a higher vibratory level.

A brief time is spent with each student performing a sacred ceremony based on the formula Dr. Usui rediscovered.

The initiations sensitize the hands, making them better able to conduct energy and detect energy flow.

What can Reiki do?

The effects of a Reiki session may be felt physically, or may result in an attitude shift, a creative insight, a solution to a vexing problem or in another nonphysical way.

Even though Reiki is difficult to quantify, you cannot deny the tangible, sensate experience, on the physical-mental-emotional-spiritual level.
